| My name is Greer and I live in Stamford with my husband,
dog,
3 cats,
6 rats, and fish (click to see my pets). I also volunteer my time at PAWS in Norwalk, where I am
a "cat buddy". I try to help socialize cats that are very afraid
or semi-feral so that they can be adopted out to good homes. Until
recently I worked in the travel industry, and because I like to travel
I know how difficult and stressful it can be to leave companion animals
behind, even for short amounts of time. Knowing this, and because
of my love of animals, I decided to start Whiskers and Wags Pet
Sitting. In addition to having our own dog, I grew up always having dogs and have taken several dogs through obedience training classes. I also spend a lot of time with my parents' 2 championship Otterhounds (click here to see them), and often care for them while my parents travel. In April, 2003 their dog Xena had her second litter of puppies and I was fortunate enough to be able to observe the births! In addition to cats, rats, dogs, rabbits and fish, I have also had many other pets including: birds, turtles, hamsters, gerbils, hermit crabs, anoles, frogs, and even a hedgehog! I am interested in all kinds of animals and hope that soon I will have a bigger home and a nice big backyard so that we can adopt a few more animals! In the meantime I will take good care of your animal companions for you! I am bonded and insured. I am also a member of Pet Sitters International, and am a certified Pet Sitting Technician!
